Welcome to Mongolia’s new National Marketing & Coordination Office, housed within the MNCCI in Ulaanbaatar.
The Mongolian National Marketing & Co-ordination Office (MNMCO) reports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, the MNCCI (Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and the NDIC (National Development & Innovation Committee).
The Mission of the MNMCO
The management and coordination of a national programme uniting the efforts of many donors in order to achieve successful, sustainable and profitable international sales of branded goods, agricultural produce and services which promote a common image of Mongolia as a reliable, modern and sophisticated producer.
To add value and effectiveness to existing and future donor projects relevant to our purpose, by facilitating interaction between them and by including them in a programme with defined marketing goals and actual selling objectives.
To assist sectors with potential market opportunities to establish joint marketing boards to take advantage collectively of those opportunities and establishing credible industry brands.
Background
There is a large number of overlapping projects designed to improve the quality of production in many industries, especially rural. Government strategy is to give them a single market focus.
Mongolia’s goal is to achieve a more balanced economy through the development of a dynamic private sector that can compete domestically and internationally in the face of a rising currency. In order to help achieve this goal, the National Marketing & Coordinating Office has been set up with an overarching supervisory role, which is to ensure that government objectives and strategies are respected
- iteration (feedback loops) between the different parts of the programme, thus making them elements in a unified process
- that the brands are based on intrinsic, guaranteed, quality and world-class standards
- that sales results are achieved
The National Marketing Coordination Office will in addition:
- promote and encourage the use of professional marketing techniques in Mongolia
- ensure that consumer requirements that are particularly suited to what Mongolia can produce are identified and then linked successfully into relevant production improvement, adaptation and innovation.
